TAVERN ODDS — TERMS OF USE (BETA)

What the app does

Tavern Seer is a fan-made helper for Hearthstone Battlegrounds. While you play, it shows three numbers: your chance to win, tie or lose the next fight, how much health you may lose if you lose it, and your likely final place. It reads the game log file that Hearthstone writes on your computer (Power.log). It does not read the game's memory, does not press anything for you and does not change the game. You make every move yourself.

To make the log available, the app turns on Hearthstone's logging and raises the log size limit in the game's settings files (log.config and client.config). You may need to restart the game once after installation.

Anonymized games

After each Battlegrounds game, the app cuts that game out of the log, removes names and account IDs on your computer, compresses it and sends it to us. We use these games only to make the numbers more accurate for players of every level.

What is sent: the log of the Battlegrounds game with all player names, BattleTags and account IDs removed; the app version; the game build number; whether the panel was on screen.

What is never collected: your BattleTag or anyone else's name, your account ID, your rating, games from other modes, files other than the game log. We do not store IP addresses.

You can stop at any time: turn off "Send anonymized games" in the Tavern Seer window, which opens when you click the Tavern Seer icon in the tray. Games that have not been sent yet are deleted at once. "What is sent" in the same window opens the folder with the files waiting to be sent.

Sent games are kept for 5 months, then deleted. A sent game contains nothing that points to you, so we cannot find and delete your games earlier on request.

This is a beta version, provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. The numbers are estimates, not promises: they can be wrong, and you decide how to play.
